‘Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Reveals Exciting Family News: ‘My Heart Is Exploding’
The Pioneer Woman, otherwise known as Ree Drummond, has some joyous news to share with her followers this holiday season. She’s overjoyed by the development.
Documenting her life in rural Oklahoma through multiple ventures, such as blogging on her website, a few television stints, and other endeavors, fans of Drummond have gotten to know her life quite well. They have also become interested in her daughter, Alex Drummond Scott, through her work.
Drummond Scott has given birth to her first child. Flying to Dallas, where Drummond Scott lives with her husband, Mauricio Scott, Drummond and her husband, Ladd, got there just in time to see their granddaughter, Sofia Marie, make her grand entrance into the world.
The 55-year-old stated in The Pioneer Woman, “Sofia was born around 2:30 in the morning, and she is perfect. I’m saying that with as much objectivity as I can. But I’m not kidding…she is perfect.”
Drummond praised her son-in-law for the smooth experience, “Alex did great, and so did Mauricio. We arrived in Dallas and got to see them in the hospital just as Alex was transitioning from latent to active labor, and it was so wonderful to see how much they love and support each other.” She continued, “Mauricio attended to Alex’s every need, to the point that the rest of us questioned if we even needed to be there. What a gift to Ladd and me, for Alex to have a partner in life who demonstrates his love through such clear action.”
Welcoming the newest addition to the family, the ranch-owning grandparents will be sure to spoil their first grandchild. The Drummonds have five children. Alex, 27, is the oldest, followed by Paige, 25, Bryce, 22, foster son Jamar, 22, and Todd, 20.
Drummond admitted, “My heart is exploding with happiness,” before she told her fans that she still can’t wrap her head around the idea that “my daughter just had a daughter.”
As a proud grandmother, the Food Network star will definitely be keeping her audience up-to-date about her adorable grandchild. The same can also be said for Drummond Scott. The young mother was the first one to post on social media to announce her happy news.
