Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Husband: Get to Know Brian Hallisay & Their Hollywood Romance
From I Know What You Did Last Summer to Ghost Whisperer, Jennifer Love Hewitt‘s “final girl” career has made her a household name. Over the last decade, the 9-1-1 star enjoyed a wonderful marriage with her husband, actor Brian Hallisay.
After meeting on set years ago, the couple stars together in Lifetime’s The Holiday Junkie. The pair loves to celebrate the holidays — this time on screen!

How did Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband meet?
The two met while filming a pilot in 2011 for the show Love Bites. Neither had a big role in the comedy series that only aired for one season.
Luckily, Hewitt and Hallisay got the chance to work together more intimately on The Client List the next year. The series was adapted from the movie, which Hewitt previously worked on. Playing estranged spouses, Riley (Hewitt) and Kyle Parks (Hallisay), the actor started to develop actual feelings. Just a couple of months later they began dating. From then onward, they never looked back.
When did Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband get married?
Hewitt and Hallisay made it official in November 2013 after getting engaged in May of that same year. They had a small, intimate ceremony. Celebrating their 10-year anniversary in 2023, the two are now heading toward a second decade of being together.
For the milestone, Hewitt posted a sweet message on her Instagram: “10 years! I knew the moment we met that my life would be better with you in it. And the last ten years have been more than I could’ve ever dreamed. Our beautiful kids and family that is truly my everything. Our adventures, tears, hard times, great times and simple days where not much happens at all. It’s my perfect dream because it’s with you. It’s has always been you my love. Do they have kids?
Yes. Hewitt and Hallisay share three kids together. Their first child, daughter Autumn, was born just days after Hewitt and Hallisay tied the knot. Just a year later in June 2014, their son, Atticus, arrived.
Later in September 2021, The Party of Five alum announced that their family of five was complete after the birth of their son, Aidan.
Both put a focus on a happy family life, the actors prefer to keep their children out of the spotlight. When photos of the three kids are shared, their faces are usually not shown.
Have they worked together again?
Hewitt and Hallisay have worked together plenty of times! After collaborating on Love Bites and The Client List, Hallisay had a sizable role on Hewitt’s show, 9-1-1. He played Doug Kendall, the abusive ex-husband of Maddie Buckley, Hewitt’s character.
Now they’re starring in the Lifetime movie The Holiday Junkie. Hewitt was also the one who directed the Christmas-themed romance movie. The two play love interests in the flick.
“I have known forever that I’m married to the dreamiest human ever, and it was so nice to be able to see him be dreamy every day in this movie,” the actress told TV Insider. “I mean, he just crushed it. And I’m excited that all the women who love Christmas movies are going to have him to sort of drool over for the Christmas season, which is nice.”
