Don’t expect Hoda Kotb to be engaged again anytime soon. Yet, when the time comes, she knows what kind of wedding will be right up her alley.

The 60-year-old TV presenter has been candid about her love life lately. Back in August, the host talked all about the current perils in her dating life— one that is sadly no longer involving the “mystery man” first mentioned in March.

She is, however, a lot more hopeful since that episode aired. While talking about the “micro-wedding” trend on Today With Hoda & Jenna on December 11, the mother of two decided to share that she could see herself partaking in that kind of vision when she finds her person.

Kotb was asked the question by Jenna Bush Hager if she’d prefer a small or big wedding. She quickly responded, “When that day comes, probably a small [wedding], yeah.” Although, it will for sure not be to the “mystery man” that Hager set her up with.

She was previously married to Burzis Kanga for three years from 2005 to 2008. She was engaged to her partner of eight years, Joel Schiffman, before they broke up.

The TODAY anchor did go on a third date with the mystery man, but it didn’t pan out. She had alluded to Kelly Clarkson in March about being excited about the potential of the relationship, yet it didn’t turn out as expected. Kotb clarified, “This person who’s a lovely human being has a lot of … things that are being worked out — that I think I’m looking for more … simplicity.”

She hasn’t met anyone new yet, but she is ready to find her person. However, according to Kotb, she’s put her focus on finding someone who is “adding and not subtracting” to her life.

The dates were still enjoyable for Kotb, who shared, “I think it was just the kind of fun of talking about something that wasn’t kids and wasn’t work.” She added, “It was just life, and I missed that. And he’s really handsome.”

She explained that the reason for their pause could be her state of mind. “I’m different now than I was,” Kotb said. “For me, I feel like I have a lot of buckets that I want someone to fill, like, an emotional bucket is fun, a spiritual bucket. There’s so many buckets in life, and I think, sometimes, if you think about your person, like, I think I realize in my life that there’s more that I want.”
