‘Golden Bachelor’s Leslie Fhima Reveals Where She Stands With Gerry Turner After Devastating Breakup
Breakups are hard, that’s for sure. Leslie Fhima and Gerry Turner didn’t work out on The Golden Bachelor, but that doesn’t mean that there’s any bad blood between them. The Minneapolis personal trainer even went to support Turner and his now ex-wife, Theresa Nist, at their Golden Wedding celebration.
In the wake of Nist and Turner’s split, where does that leave Fhima? The Golden Bachelor alum opened up about her current relationship with Turner on the December 11 edition of the She’s All Bach podcast.
She didn’t know whether or not Nist is still in contact with her ex-husband, Fhima owned up to occasionally hearing from her former lover. “Once in a while, he texts me a funny thing,” she said, and that’s just the way she likes it. Fhima added, “I don’t want to perpetuate a friendship that’s deeper than that.”
The reason for that being might be tied to their devastating breakup that shocked all of Bachelor Nation. Moments before the ultimate choice happened, Turner was still discussing a future with Fhima. She shared that he even mentioned moving to Minneapolis to be with her. One of the reasons Nist and Turner separated was because neither wanted to leave their home behind.
Despite being grateful for the experience, Fhima confessed, “Being number 2 is not what it is cracked up to be,” and that’s why she’s not sure if she’d be up to doing another round of The Golden Bachelor.
Fhima also revealed that Nist convinced her to come to The Golden Wedding. The New Jersey winner called Fhima up and begged her to attend. “I really want you there,” Nist told Fhima. Fhima was happy to support her friend but admitted, “I wouldn’t have gotten married that fast.”
Now that neither women are attached to Turner, they have fully picked up their friendship. When asked if they compare anecdotes about Turner, Fhima was quick to add, “We have other things to talk about.”
As for Fhima’s dating life today, she’s still single. However, Bachelor Nation fans have been rooting for Fhima and Golden Bachelorette alum Jordan Heller. The two sparked romance rumors after Heller invited her to attend a Los Angeles Football Club game together. “We’re just friends right now,” Fhima said on the BachMakers podcast.
