Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Finalizes Divorce From Ryan Anderson Ahead of First Child’s Arrival

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard can officially put her ex-husband, Ryan Anderson, behind her and look ahead to the future. The reality star has finalized her divorce.
The Lafourche Parish Clerk of the Court confirmed the finalization to PEOPLE, and now Blanchard is speaking out about her divorce.
“I did extend the offer to have a civil conversation for closure purposes,” she told the outlet. “I’m currently waiting on a response. He waived his right to attend [the court date].” Blanchard said that she and her ex have worked out their financial disagreements in court.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star realized earlier in the year that she wasn’t happy in her marriage. “It’s kind of like, okay, well, you know that you’re settling — that you’re kind of pushing on to just do what everybody else does in life, but you’re just settling,” she revealed.
Blanchard filed for divorce in April. She had announced their separation a month before.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou,” Blanchard said at the time. “I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
Blanchard and Anderson met while she was serving a 10-year prison sentence in Missouri after she was convicted of second-degree murder for plotting to kill her mother, DeeDee Blanchard, with ex-boyfriend Nick Godejohn.
The former couple married in a jailhouse ceremony in 2022. After her separation from Anderson, Blanchard reconnected with ex-fiancé Ken Urker. In May 2024, just a couple of months after separating from Anderson, Blanchard announced that she and Urker were expecting their first child. The due date for their baby girl is January 22, 2025.
