All About New ‘Southern Charm’ Standout Salley Carson & Her ‘Bachelor’ Connection
There’s a new Charmer in our midst! Salley Carson is one of the new cast members of Southern Charm‘s milestone 10th season. The 29-year-old will be making her debut in the December 5 premiere.
So, who is this new Charlestonian looking to shake things up with the crew? Swooon is breaking down what you need to know about Salley, who she’s involved with, and her past with Bachelor Nation.
What does Salley do for a living?
According to Bravo, Salley moved to Charleston a few years back after landing a job in spinal robotics. She currently works as a Hybrid Robotic and Core Spinal Representative at Medtronic, according to her LinkedIn. She’s originally from Greenville, South Carolina.
“Her goal is to be married and have a family, but for now she is a bubbly party girl who dotes on her adorable puppy, Boots, after a long day working at the hospital,” her bio reads.
What season of The Bachelor was Salley on?
Salley was very briefly on Clayton Echard‘s season of The Bachelor. She notably self-eliminated just hours before the limo arrivals. Filming was set to take place the same weekend she’d planned to get married to her ex. “My heart is just not in the place where I can [do this],” she told Clayton. “And I feel so bad about that. My heart is just not ready.”

She popped back up in Bachelor Nation when she appeared on Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, but she quit in Week 2. She was also on Southern Hospitality. (More on that below.)
“I’ve been running away from reality TV for a while,” she told TV Insider about her decision to join Southern Charm. “I finally felt like I was in a very confident, independent place in my life, where I finally planted roots here in Charleston, got my own house, my career was taking off, and I just felt really good about myself. And I thought, ‘Why not? Why not show the world the real Salley Carson, one they haven’t seen yet?'”
Is Salley dating anyone from Southern Charm?
Not at the moment, but it’s complicated. Seriously.
So, when she was on Southern Hospitality, she had a connection with Joe Bradley. That relationship didn’t pan out because she lied about kissing Gaston Rojas, who is now Taylor Ann Green‘s new boyfriend.
Salley revealed to TV Insider that fans will learn more about her past relationship with ex-fiancé Andrew Dietz, who is a former flame of Taylor’s. Salley also hooked up with Shep Rose, Taylor’s ex. “There’s some things that me and Taylor don’t see eye to eye on, and that’ll definitely be shown throughout the season. You’ll see me in a little bit of drama,” she said.
When it comes to her past relationship, Salley said she was “making poor decisions. For instance, getting my breasts done when I was in that relationship, and it just wasn’t really myself. But I think I finally grew into a very independent woman that doesn’t need a man.”
