‘A Carpenter Christmas Romance’: Sasha Pieterse & Mitchell Slaggert Turn Up the Heat in First Trailer (VIDEO)
Lifetime is ready to spice up the holiday season with A Carpenter Christmas Romance. We all love a little steam, right?
Swooon is exclusively debuting the first trailer for A Carpenter Christmas Romance, which will debut on December 21. From the jump, the chemistry between Sasha Pieterse and Mitchell Slaggert is sizzling.
The new holiday film follows Andrea (Pieterse), a novelist who has hinted that her upcoming book will take a heartbreaking turn. When fans start protesting that Andrea shouldn’t kill off their favorite character, she heads to her family’s farmhouse to finish her novel and get a break from all the opinions.
When she arrives, she bumps into a very familiar (and hunky) face: her ex-crush, Seth (Slaggert). It turns out that the artisanal woodworker has been helping rebuild her hometown after it was nearly destroyed by a fire. Seth, called “Mr. Man Glitter” by Andrea’s sister, Ella (Kaley McCormack), is the definition of dreamy.
Sparks of romance start filling the air between Seth and Andrea as they work together to reignite the town’s Christmas spirit and possibly a long-overdue romance. But can these two build a love that’s made to last?
“The minute somebody gets close to you, you end it,” Ella tells her in the trailer. Will Andrea open her heart enough to let it happen? If she does, Andrea could finally get her own happy ending instead of just writing them.
Grey’s Anatomy alum Sarah Drew is the writer and executive producer of A Carpenter Christmas Romance. She notably wrote and producer A Cowboy Christmas Romance, the first-ever Lifetime movie to feature a sex scene.
