‘Golden Bachelorette’ Joan Vassos Knew ‘Early On’ Chock Chapple Was The One

After a long few months of hiding their love, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple were able to step out of the rotating happy couple houses and open up about their romance at the After the Final Rose special. Although, not all was revealed there.
Joan and Chock talked about their intense connection, the way their relationship evolved since their engagement, and the incredible journey The Golden Bachelorette took them on. With many familiar faces in the audience, it was also an evening full of reckoning. Some of the different men who courted Joan were there to support the two. However, the audience also saw the events of the 61-year-old mother of four choosing Chock just before she was set to embark on her final date with runner-up Guy Gansert.
For Joan, her heart was always leading her to Chock. When Swooon asked Joan when she knew Chock was the one for her, she replied, “Oh God, so early on.” Joan continued, “I hate answering this question because it makes me sound like I didn’t give everybody a chance, and I really did, but I did have such a strong connection with him at the Disneyland date.”
Joan and Chock’s Disneyland date was the first one-on-one date of the season. “We had a connection immediately. The minute we were together, we started talking. And it never stopped, to the point where we hardly realized we were in Disneyland, which is hard to do because it’s such an epic place, but we were just all about getting to know each other, and the flow was so easy. It was probably one of the easiest dates I’ve ever been on,” Joan gushed.
From that point forward, she tried giving the other men the attention they deserved, yet Chock stayed on her mind. She gave it a real go with the 24 suitors of her season and has no regrets about her experience. “At the end, I knew exactly that I was in the right place,” she said.
