Jonathan Bailey may be busy promoting Wicked‘s first film, but the actor’s recent remarks about Bridgerton are surely music to fans’ ears as the actor spilled some Season 4 details during a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

While on the Wicked press tour, the actor spent some time in New York City, where he was able to drop in on NBC‘s late-night program. Of course, Bailey couldn’t stop by without being asked about reprising his role as Viscount Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix‘s mega-hit.

During the November 13 episode, Bailey acknowledged his impending return, telling Meyers that he’s “going back” to set “for Christmas.” But before anyone could read too deeply into the holiday mention, Bailey followed it up with, “We’ll be reunited with the family next week actually.”

Whether that means Christmas is playing a role in Season 4 of Bridgerton or Bailey means he’ll be filming scenes around the holidays isn’t exactly clear, but it does sound as though he’ll be filming sooner rather than later. The actor noted to Meyers that his reprisal is “very exciting.”

When Meyers stated that performing in the show must never get boring, Bailey commented, “No, well, it changes every year, you know, every two years… and yeah, what an amazing thing to be a part of.” He went on to add, “And there’s gonna be lots of space for new people to come in and Luke [Thompson] and Yerin [Ha] are gonna be great.”

Bailey followed up his gushing over costars by reaffirming previous remarks he’s made, as he stated, “I’ll always pop back in.” As previously reported, Bailey’s continuously hinted that he’ll stick around on the series long after his Season 2 leading run alongside onscreen love Simone Ashley who plays Kate Bridgerton.

As fans know, Season 4 of the series will explore the love story between Benedict (Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Ha), who meet at Violet’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. Disguised by a mask, Sophie’s true identity as a working-class member of society is disguised under her Lady in Silver look that entrances the second-eldest Bridgerton brother.

The remarks made by Bailey about his return to set are just the latest Bridgerton babble from the star who revealed that his onscreen horse in Wicked happens to be his horse from the Shondaland series as well. In other words, Bailey couldn’t escape the Bridgerton world if he wanted to. Thankfully, he does not.

Stay tuned for more details on Bridgerton‘s forthcoming season as it continues to take shape, and let us know what you hope to see from Anthony in Season 4.
