The celebrity chef has wowed audiences with his delectable cooking and handy tips to make your own meals at home taste somewhat as good. However, that’s not where the Food Network legend’s magic ends. Bobby Flay has the charm both onscreen and off.

The Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown host has quite the dating history. With his latest show on the air, it’s time to learn more about what Flay is up to when he’s not cooking.

Who has Bobby been married to?

Flay has been married three times. His first nuptials took place in 1991. The whirlwind romance between him and fellow chef Debra Pozek was definitely a tale to remember. Realizing that they wanted to tie the knot just two weeks after they started dating, Flay and Pozek were head over heels in love. The couple divorced in 1993, but the year before, they were nominated for the same prestigious James Foundation Beard Award for Rising Star Chef award. Flay wanted to withdraw his nomination, so he wouldn’t have to compete against her. His request was denied, and he eventually ended up winning the following year. Pozek was the one to hand over the award.

His next marriage to Kate Connelly wasn’t as public as the one before, yet didn’t last very long either. Getting hitched in 1995, they decided to separate three years later.

And even his last nuptials to Law and Order: Special Victims Unit actor Stephanie March didn’t withstand the test of time. They dated for four years before making the official decision to become husband and wife in 2005. They were together for another ten years before they split in 2015.

This time around, he couldn’t escape a messy divorce as the two quarreled about what happened. It was alleged that Flay hadn’t exactly been faithful. This was contested by his lawyer who stated, “This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that’s unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a prenuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage,” to PEOPLE.

Does Bobby have any kids?

Flay has one kid. He shares his 28-year-old daughter, Sophie, with ex-wife Connelly. Born in 1996, she has already accomplished so much. Besides co-hosting some shows on Food Network with her dad, she is also a reporter at ABC7 Los Angeles, as well as an adjunct professor at her alma mater University of Southern California. She has a close bond with her dad. Flay has said multiple times over the years that he is “proud” of his daughter.

Who has Bobby dated?

Since his separation from March, Flay has tried to keep his dating life private, only revealing more information once he deems it to be serious. Between 2016 and 2019, the New York City-born chef dated Canadian actor Heléne Yorke.

After that, he dated writer, editor, and former model Christina Pérez. They made their relationship public while preparing vegetarian chili on TODAY in 2021. The two ended things in June 2024 after three years of dating.

What’s going on with Bobby & Kristin Cavallari?

Kristin Cavallari and Flay have been friends for quite some time, and sometimes misunderstandings arise within their relationship. The most recent one was revealed on Cavallari’s podcast Let’s Be Honest. Flay revealed that he DMed The Hills alum, “‘I’m going to be in Nashville for one night, can I take you to dinner?” To this Cavallari replied, “‘I’m already dating somebody.”

The Laguna Beach star dated Mark Estes, who is 13 years younger than her, for seven months before she confirmed their split in early October 2024.

Although Cavallari had a different recollection of the moment, she suggested that she simply told him she was over the whole dating process. Flay was very certain about his version. “No you said, ‘I literally started seeing somebody!’” he remembered. “And I said, ‘I just want to go to dinner with you.’”

Realizing her mistake, she joked, “It was like foot in mouth.” She also added, “There’s a fair argument that I shouldn’t just assume that you wanted to take me on a date.” Eventually, the two buddies did end up going to dinner, with Cavallari admitting that she “had the best time.”
