Alexa Havins’ Husband: All About the ‘GH’ Star’s Love Story with ‘AMC’ Costar Justin Bruening
Alexa Havins is making her big comeback to the world of soaps. The All My Children alum has joined the cast of General Hospital as the new Lulu Spencer, and she will be making her GH debut imminently.

How did Alexa and her husband meet?
Havins and Bruening met on the set of All My Children. Havins played Babe Carey on the Pine Valley soap, while Bruening played Jamie Martin. They were onscreen love interests before becoming real-life lovebirds.
When did Alexa and Justin get married?
The couple married on June 5, 2005. Bruening proposed on the set of All My Children after his character proposes to Babe. He was going to do it later, but when he learned of the Jamie-Babe proposal, he decided to pop the question as the same time as his character.

“We spend so much time there, and it’s like our second family,” Havins told Soap Opera Digest. “When he asked me, it was so nice; he put the ring on my finger and I was giggling, screaming, and I turned and our cast and crew was coming out of the woodwork because they had the live feed coming [through the studio] — the producers and hair and makeup came down and they had a cake and champagne and it was a really, really nice moment.”
What does Justin do?
Bruening has had several roles in the years since his time on All My Children. He starred in the short-lived Knight Rider series before joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy in 2013 as Paramedic Matthew Taylor in a recurring role. He was the love interest for Sarah Drew‘s April Kepner. He reunited with Drew in the 2022 Lifetime holiday movie Reindeer Games Homecoming.
Since 2020, he has starred as Cal Maddox in the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias. Season 4 is set to return in 2025.
Bruening revealed that Havins jokes about his many shirtless scenes in the streamer’s small town drama. “My wife thinks Cal is allergic to clothes. I have a billion pet names now, by the way. She’ll be like, ‘Mr. Unicorn man-candy, can you take the trash out for me?'” he told EW.

Yes, Alexa and Justin have three kids together: Lexington Grace, born in 2010, Zane in 2013, and Zoe in December 2015.
