‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Updates: Location, Premiere Date & First Cast Members Revealed
Love Is Blind has been a Netflix staple since 2020, with Nick and Vanessa Lachey hosting every season. There’s been one question on everyone’s lips as Season 7 ended: Would the popular dating show return for an eighth installment? The answer is yes!
Netflix confirmed the show will return for Season 8 during the highly-anticipated Season 7 reunion, which aired on October 30. Here’s everything we know so far about Season 8.
Will there be a Love Is Blind Season 8?
Love Is Blind will return for Season 8. The Lacheys confirmed Netflix renewed the series during the Season 7 reunion.
Stopping in states around the U.S., quite a few unions have blossomed on the dating show. With Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi Goytowski’s first Love Is Blind baby and many others on the way, couples have proven that, at times, the experiment works. When it doesn’t, it stirs up drama and gives the viewers some scandal to revel in.
The streamer renewed Love Is Blind through Season 7 back in December 2023 but didn’t waste any time with a renewal this time around.
Who is in the Love Is Blind Season 8 cast?
Three participants — Alex, Brittany, and Joey — from Love Is Blind Season 8 were present during the Season 7 reunion. Alex noted that Minneapolis is “such a small community,” and he just “never found the right person that clicked for me,” which led him to sign up for the experience.
When will Love Is Blind Season 8 premiere?
Love Is Blind Season 8 will premiere on February 14, 2025, aka Valentine’s Day. The premiere will mark five years since the show’s debut in 2020.
Love Is Blind premiered on February 13, 2020. After the first season concluded, it didn’t return until February 2022, most likely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, there have been two installments per year. One in the first half of the year and another in the second half.
Where will Season 8 be set?
The eighth season will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kinetic Content had made casting calls in six different cities. In March 2023, they requested single men and women in Denver and the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). In July 2024, there were more casting calls in Miami, Atlanta, New England, and Columbus.
Love Is Blind casting director Donna Driscoll revealed that her team is also looking for singles in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. “We haven’t really done this in the Midwest, but more important, the host of our show, Nick Lachey, was raised in Cincinnati,” Driscoll told The Columbus Dispatch.
On September 20, Kinetic Content put up another casting call for singles in the New England area. “The Love Is Blind Casting team is actively accepting applications in our area. You heard that right! They are currently looking for brave singles who are looking for commitment,” the release read.
