Mark Anderson‘s run on The Golden Bachelorette has come to a close. Fans and Joan Vassos‘ other suitors alike have been grieving the army veteran’s departure.

After an awkward date with champagne that was just a tad too sweet, it became clear that the lead and Bachelor Nation favorite were not meant to be. Not having had much time together before Mark’s one-on-one date with Joan, their relationship just wasn’t going anywhere. Joan brought this up during their time together.

Even the luxurious yacht setting wasn’t enough to pull them out of a doomed direction. So Mark will not take Joan home to meet his daughter Kelsey and The Bachelor Season 28 lead Joey Graziadei, but this might not be his final chance to find love within Bachelor Nation.

When the 61-year-old Maryland native pulled him aside before the rose ceremony, Joan revealed that she wasn’t quite there yet with Mark, which is why they had a somewhat conscious uncoupling.

After a couple of tears shed by Pascal Ibgui, the resident French guy of the mansion, it became clear just how much everyone loved Mark. Even the producers of The Golden Bachelorette seemed to love the guy as they gave him quite a few confessionals to share his thoughts. Could they be setting him up to become the next Golden Bachelor? Bachelor Nation fans sure hope so.

From posts saying that they’re manifesting Kelsey’s “hot dad” to take over Gerry Turner‘s role to demanding to see the “zaddy” back on their screens, there’s no denying Mark’s massive appeal.

Will Mark continue his quest for love soon? If so, it could potentially be announced during the Men Tell All, or even before like they did with Grant Ellis during Jenn Tran‘s stint as The Bachelorette.

The ladies applying for the next season of The Golden Bachelor might even already have that in mind. Especially as the October 16 episode alluded to it. They kept showing a Mark confessional, and then going straight into the call for women to sign up to be contestants.
