‘Bridgerton’: Nicola Coughlan Hints at More Spicy Polin Moments in Season 4
Bridgerton fans may have to gear up for even more Polin spice in Season 4. Nicola Coughlan teased what’s next for the newly-minted Penelope Bridgerton and her hubby Colin (Luke Newton) in Netflix‘s Shondaland hit.
While viewers won’t soon forget the now-famous carriage and mirror scenes from Bridgerton‘s third season, could there be room for even more iconic Polin moments? That seems to be the case, as Coughlan acknowledged the attention Penelope and Colin’s romance received earlier this year in a new interview with Time.
Regarding the mirror scene in which Colin offers praising words to his betrothed as they take their relationship to the next level, Coughlan said, “It was intimate, but it was also scary because of the level of nudity. We wanted to do justice to the story and this beautiful moment where he makes her feel really loved and they’re vulnerable together. I’m so proud of that scene.”

According to Time‘s report, “the duo have more intimate moments in Season 4” and will also have the challenge of playing parents to their new onscreen baby, which Coughlan called “crazy cute.”
Fans got a taste of this in Season 3’s final moments as the new little Lord Featherington was introduced and teased Penelope and Colin’s new role as the leads of Featherington House with their son being the primary heir.
What these intimate moments in addition to their parenting will look like remains to be seen, but considering the steamier moments Season 2’s lead couple Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Bridgerton (Simone Ashley) shared in Season 3, it’s clear that there are plenty of possibilities. The sexier moments aren’t reserved for just the main couple.
As fans already know, Season 4 will chronicle the love story between the second-eldest Bridgerton brother Benedict (Luke Thompson), and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
