[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 7 Episodes 10-11.]

One of the most talked-about couples on Love Is Blind Season 7 has decided to call it quits before even heading to the altar. Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka might have had a genuine connection in the pods, but the real world quickly showed that they weren’t meant to be.

Often having different opinions on what to share on the reality TV series, it was clear from the get-go that an actual union was unlikely. Finances were a serious hurdle for them, as the financial literacy conversation showcased that they had vastly different vantage points. With Hannah having been on her own and Nick still living at home, it also proved where their maturity levels were.

Another big problem was their sex life and how they discussed it. Hannah wanted to talk openly about it, while Nick had a more secretive approach. So, what exactly happened between Hannah and Nick? What was the breaking point? Scroll down for everything you need to know about the split.

Did Nick and Hannah get engaged?

The two ended up engaged after overcoming major hurdles in the pods. After Hannah’s back-and-forth between art dealer Leo Braudy and Nick, she decided to eventually fully focus on the latter. She initially broke things off with the real estate agent in favor of the Rolex-wearing Leo, yet Hannah quickly reversed that decision and rectified things with Nick.

Nick was thrilled when the screen lifted and his fiancée was revealed. But Hannah? Not so much. Feeling like he had misrepresented his looks, the duo started on the wrong foot. However, it’s unclear whether Nick actually noticed that.

Going right into the honeymoon portion of the show, Hannah and Nick’s troubles trailed them to Mexico. There, she got the ick from Nick’s duck race with an older woman who was vacationing at the resort. Yes, he grabbed a toy duck and played with it, just like any 29-year-old man would do. (Or maybe not.)

The woman Nick was competing against won and called Hannah “jealous.” This didn’t sit well with Hannah, and she called Nick out on it, stating to TV Insider, “I’m someone who addresses things, so I said what I said.” This was not the last time they got into an argument.

What happened between Nick and Katie?

A few episodes later, Love Is Blind once again recorded the budding couple in a fight. This time around, their fight was because of Katie, Hannah’s “best friend in the entire world.”

Katie and Nick also dated in the pods, but she thought he was “too immature,” which was why she ended things early on in their talking stage. At the costume party when they met in person for the first time, Katie mentioned how attractive she found her previous beau. She repeated this information to Hannah quite a few times.

Obviously, this didn’t make Hannah happy, so she brought it up in a conversation later on. She even said that her best friend and fiancé were “flirting.” Nick rebutted this, but he didn’t change Hannah’s mind.

Why did Nick and Hannah break up?

Having kept a notebook throughout their relationship, Hannah was very clear about why she and her former fiancé Nick broke up. “Respect, delusional, social awareness,” Hannah started, while Nick finished the sentence, “Maturity, confidence versus something.” Hannah clarified, “Maturity and confidence versus ego.” She stated that these were the five things she noted down after their “first little incident” and that they were still prevalent then.

Feeling like she was demeaning him, Nick shut down. This didn’t faze Hannah, who continued implying that he doesn’t have many responsibilities.

Not truly having any resolution, the couple decided to end their relationship before heading to the altar. They did share a hug before parting ways.

It is implied that they don’t really feel at ease with it as neither one of them agreed with the other’s actions. Hannah said that Nick wasn’t as “real” as she was, and Nick stressed that he would’ve tried until the very end if it were just up to him.
