Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser were probably one of the strongest couples on Love Is Blind Season 7 — until a huge secret from Tyler’s past was revealed.

Constantly talking about their future family and how many kids they wanted, the 34-year-old account manager never even considered telling his fiancée that he already has kids and becoming a sperm donor.

From praying together to finding safety in each other’s arms, Tyler and Ashley were infatuated with each other. Not knowing what their significant other looked like during the talking phase of the experiment, they were both happily surprised when the reveal happened. Connecting with mind, body, and spirit, it seemed that nothing could tear these two apart. Yet, Tyler proved us all wrong when he shared some news he had previously hidden.

Where is Tyler from?

Tyler, who currently lives in Virginia, has mentioned that he’s originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Having been in the military for quite some years, he likely hopped around different locations.

Is Tyler a sperm donor?

Yes. He is the biological father to three children: two girls and a boy. During his time on Love Is Blind, or at least not in front of the cameras, Tyler does not divulge about the situation, at least not right now. He does, however, share that he knows the kids and their parents personally.

Since then, social media posts from the mother of these children have popped up, claiming that he used to be in their lives. That was until he went on Love Is Blind and suddenly changed the arrangement. Nothing about that is mentioned in Episode 9 when Tyler finally reveals that he has biological kids. Tyler has also not spoken publicly outside of the show about the situation.

After having an innocent conversation with Ashley about how many kids they wanted to have and their potential names, Tyler made the sudden revelation about his sperm donor past. The show then cuts to the next day when Ashley returns to their apartment.

How did Ashley react to Tyler’s sperm donor news?

Noting that she needed some time to gather her thoughts about the situation, Ashley confides in Tyler that she is shocked by the news. She stated, “I just don’t understand how our superpower seems like it’s not our superpower anymore,” referring to their previous communication style.

Ashley provides more clarification by saying, “We’re talking about joining a union, like merging lives. This is something I should have known before agreeing to say ‘yes.'” Scared of losing her trust, Tyler tries to suddenly give her all the information that she wants.

Not really trusting his words anymore, Ashley brings up what she had previously learned, “I just can’t wrap my mind around it without even considering your past at all, like we talked about kids every day. It’s not your kid, kids. But they are your kids, and it’s with someone that you know.”

She adds, “I’m not upset by you trying to help a couple have kids. I think that’s admirable in certain ways. But the issue comes in with me feeling like I was not getting the full picture of you, and once you’re not given the full picture of something, it’s hard to not question everything. Me being a single woman before this, to come in this scenario, to fall in love with a guy who has three sperm donor babies, is a lot to absorb and the wedding is in, like, two weeks.”

Are Tyler and Ashley still together?

Ashley and Tyler are able to overcome their hurdles and get married in the Love Is Blind Season 7 finale. Many fans feel like she is making a mistake as the story he told about his biological kids doesn’t match up with the mother’s version on social media.

This irked Tyler, who spoke out about it in his Instagram comments. He replied, “That is not facts. Just be patient, I’ll explain it all very soon,” when someone asked him about the situation.

How the wedded couple is handling this has not been revealed yet, but they will presumably talk about it in the upcoming reunion.

We spoke to Tyler ahead of the season premiere and asked him if he had any regrets about what went down. “I think everything I’ve done from the beginning to the end was extremely genuine. I would not change anything. I’d go back and do it the exact same way,” he said.
