The successful love story between Kylie Schuelke and Brian Sumption was not documented on Season 8 of Love Is Blind. The two confirmed via Instagram on February 16 that they are still together, but cameras did not follow what happened to them after the pods.

The comments section of Kylie and Brian’s joint Instagram post was flooded with comments from fans demanding to know why viewers didn’t get a chance to see their love unfold.

“Wtf why was this not shown?!” one person wrote. Another commented, “I was bummed that they didn’t show you and your journey; but I am so glad that the experiment worked and you found love!” Someone else added, “Will you guys go on a podcast or something to tell us about your journey? So sad I didn’t get to see this on the actual show!!!”

Many other viewers were annoyed that Season 8 focused more on drama than successful love stories. “Very confused on why your story wasn’t showed [sic] but we saw so much of 4 people who none got engaged,” someone commented, and another wrote, “I’m sorry, where was y’all’s screen time?!? More invested in y’all’s relationship than I am with the others who didn’t even get engaged. SO HAPPY FOR YOU.”

In their hard-launch post, Kylie and Brian posed in the snow while holding Love Is Blind goblets. “From the pods to reality—what a journey!” they captioned the Instagram. “Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and everyone I met along the way. Love Is Blind—you were a wild, unforgettable ride.” They did not confirm whether they were engaged or just dating following the show.

Ahead of the Season 8 premiere, LIB creator Chris Coelen admitted to Variety that there were “two engaged couples” that cameras didn’t follow.

“We film everything and then we go back and look at how we got there. We put the pieces together,” he explained. “As always, we’re trying to pick the stories that resonate and that we feel are worthy of telling because they lean into authenticity.” He also added, “We told more stories than we’ve ever told. We told the stories of 16 people this season, which is why we have more pod episodes.”
